Anslem is currently studying audio production in Melbourne and is passionate about rock, jazz and contemporary classical music. Born and lived in Hong Kong, he was a bass player for various indie rock and jazz bands, which he gained the inspiration and experience to study about audio production and eventually wishes to become a producer and mixing or recording engineer.
Also, due to his interest in gaming and movie, he had the opportunity to collaborate with indie game developers. Anslem is capable of understanding game developers’ and players’ needs for gaming music as a gamer for years. He participated in creating soundtracks and background music for a few upcoming indie games as well as sound design and creating sound effects.
Anslem is dedicated to the art of experimentation and uniqueness, which he employs his creativity in his constant search to capture the essence of the music his collaborators desired although sometimes considered “Out-of-the-box”.
His heroes include producers such as Steven Wilson and Brian Eno, as well as gaming soundtrack composers such as Akira Yamaoka and Gustavo Santaolalla. This is apparent in his progressive sense of music as shown in his works.
